The Delhi Capitals (DC) on Monday announced the launch of the DC School Cup, an inter-school T20 tournament aimed at identifying and nurturing grassroots cricket talent across the national capital.

The inaugural edition will run from December 8 to 23, with group-stage matches scheduled at the GMR Aerocity Ground. The grand finale will be played at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium, giving school-level players a dream opportunity to compete on a professional stage.

A total of 18 schools from across Delhi and NCR will participate:

✨ DC CEO Sunil Gupta Speaks

Sunil Gupta, CEO of Delhi Capitals, called the initiative a vital step in strengthening Delhi’s cricket ecosystem:

“Our mission at Delhi Capitals is to create a Pathway to Excellence for young players. The DC School Cup is another step in that direction. School cricket is a vibrant part of Delhi’s sporting identity, and through this tournament we hope to celebrate that spirit and nurture budding cricketers.”

He added that the tournament is also meant to deepen DC’s engagement with the city and build long-term grassroots connections.
