New Zealand have announced their T20I and ODI squads for the upcoming white-ball tour of India, which is being viewed as a key preparation phase for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The tour will feature a five-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series, with the World Cup set to begin on February 7 and jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
Leadership and Key Inclusions
Mitchell Santner will captain the T20I side as he continues his return from injury, while Michael Bracewell has been named skipper of the ODI squad. Fast bowler Kyle Jamieson makes his comeback from injury and has been included in both formats.
Selectors have also rewarded strong domestic performances, handing T20I call-ups to youngsters Bevon Jacobs and Tim Robinson as part of New Zealand’s plan to widen their talent pool ahead of the World Cup.
