Suryakumar said that domestic cricket provides the perfect challenge when players are not featuring in international matches.

“According to me, it’s important to go back to the roots.
When we aren’t playing international games, domestic cricket gives a great competitive atmosphere. It helps you prepare well — just like Abhishek and the others did recently.”

His comments come at a time when reports suggest both Kohli and Rohit may represent their respective state teams again.
