The Wales national football team experienced a scare on Saturday morning when their team bus was involved in a minor road accident while traveling to a scheduled training session ahead of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.
🚌 What Happened?
The incident occurred just outside the team’s base camp in Germany, where Wales is preparing for their group stage match. According to reports, the bus was struck by a local delivery vehicle at low speed. Emergency services were notified immediately, but no one required medical attention.
“All players and staff are safe and well,” the FAW confirmed in a social media post. “There were no injuries, and the team continued to training after a brief delay.”
👮 Authorities Respond Swiftly
Local police arrived on the scene within minutes and conducted routine checks. No criminal or reckless behavior is suspected. The other vehicle involved sustained minor damage, and both drivers cooperated with authorities.
⚽ Team in Good Spirits
Despite the disruption, the Wales squad resumed their day as planned. Training was rescheduled slightly but completed in full. Team officials say the players remained in good spirits and are focused on their upcoming fixtures.
Head coach Gemma Grainger later addressed the media:
“These things can happen on the road, and the most important thing is everyone is okay. The team stayed calm, and we’ve moved on quickly.”
