IPL 2025: IPL 2025 will start from 22 March, the schedule of which has been released recently by BCCI. The league will start with a bang match between KKR and RCB. Earlier, a mega auction was held in Jeddah, Dubai on November 24 and 25, in which all the franchises have included one of the best match-winning players in their squad, but meanwhile one franchise failed to build a strong team in the auction, after which it is considered difficult for them to win even a single match this season.
Lack of all-rounder in the team
The team we are talking about is none other than the winner of the first edition (IPL 2025) Rajasthan Royals, which is considered very difficult to win even a single match this season. It will not be a surprise if this team finishes in 10th place at the end of the season because in the mega auction, Rajasthan has included only two all-rounders in its squad, one of whom is spin all-rounder Nitish Rana and the other is fast bowler Yudhveer Singh, who plays domestic cricket for Jammu and Kashmir. Yudhveer Singh was earlier a part of Lucknow Super Giants, where he played only 5 matches in two seasons.
During this, he was able to take 22 wickets with the bat and only 4 wickets with the ball. At the same time, the other all-rounder i.e. Nitish Rana is also not doing much better. Rana has definitely scored 2636 runs with the bat in IPL (IPL 2025), but during this time he has taken only 10 wickets with the ball. This season, Rajasthan can definitely be seen lacking an experienced all-rounder during the match.
Bad form of captain Sanju Samson
Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson had a great IPL 2024 season. He scored 531 runs in 16 matches with the bat at an impressive average of 48.27, which included 5 half-centuries, but after that his form for Team India has been up and down. In the 5-match series played against England, Sanju was able to score only 51 runs, while before that in the four-match T20 series against South Africa, apart from scoring a century in two matches, he could not even open his account in two matches.
Apart from this, apart from a century in the three-match T20 series against Bangladesh, he was seen struggling for runs in the remaining two matches. That is, he is scoring runs, but his performance is not showing the consistency that he showed in IPL 2024. If Sanju fails to perform with the bat this season, then apart from Yashasvi, there is no batsman in the team who can come and handle the team in difficult situations.
Definitely going to be at number 10!
Apart from lagging behind in batting and all-rounders, this year Rajasthan has bought those bowlers in the auction, whom no other franchise had shown any interest in buying. Jofra Archer’s performance in India has not been as special as he has done on foreign pitches. At the same time, Tushar Deshpande also proves to be very expensive in the initial and final overs. While leaving aside Akash Madhwal’s 2023 season, his figures in 2024 are also not very special, after which Sandeep Sharma will be the only bowler in Rajasthan on whom the captain has more confidence. Due to the lack of experienced players in every department, it is already considered certain that Rajasthan will finish the season at number 10.
These 3 Indian all-rounders are going to rock IPL 2025, one of them will definitely replace Hardik Pandya
