MLS brigades have launched a new program aimed at growing addict bases and boosting attendance, with the Colorado Rapids leading the way.
WHAT happened?
The Seattle Sounders have blazoned their” First Match On Us” program, offering free tickets to first-time attendees for select matches during the 2025 MLS season.
This action aims to attract new supporters to Lumen Field and grow the club’s supporter base. In a club advertisement, the Sounders revealed that in a first-of-its-kind action, the occasion gives the club a chance to grow the game within the megacity by offering fans a chance to apply for two free tickets to one of 11 preselected games”.
“Whether someone is new to Seattle searching for a sense of community, a family looking for child-friendly jaunts or suckers of other soccer leagues or sports who have noway given the Sounders a pass, First Match On Us has been courteously planned to give all our first-time suckers with a drinking and inclusive experience.”

The Seattle Soundaren’tareare not the first club to offer analogous action as the Colorado Rapids offered commodity action last season. Therefore, it created a way for the club to bait in new original sponsors and help grow the sport and the MLS within the megacity.
What is next?
While the Seattle Sounders are through to the Round of 16 of the CONCACAF titleholders Cup, they have plodded to find their footing in the league so far. The club lost their alternate league game, 2-0 to Real Salt Lake City after a 2-2 draw against Charlotte FC in their MLS nature.
