The delay is nearly over. Five months after being appointed and further than two months after starting work, Thomas Tuchel is set to advertise his first England team for the Three Lions’ opening World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia. The trainer has been traveling around the country watching live games and covering implicit players ever while working from home, drawing the wrath of some sections of the English media.
There has been a lot of focus on players hoping to break into the England team for the first time after emotional seasons, similar as Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap and Arsenal full-reverse Miles Lewis Skelly, but Tuchel is also considering a number of players who have formerly proven themselves but have faded from the transnational scene for colorful reasons.
