Three Muslim cricketers in the England cricket team – Rehan Ahmed, Saqib Mahmood and Adil Rashid are from Mirpur in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Their fathers came to England in the 1960-70s. Rehan’s father was a former cricketer, while Saqib’s father was an auto mechanic. Adil’s father worked in a factory. All three were encouraged by their fathers to take up cricket.
