Healy said recent years had been mentally challenging and affected by injuries, and that her competitive edge had slightly faded. She added that extending her career until the 2026 T20 World Cup in England would not have been fair to her teammates and that finishing at home would be special.
Healy debuted in 2010 at age 19 and has scored 3500+ ODI runs and 3054 T20I runs, including a career-best 148* — the highest T20I score among full-member players. She holds the record for most T20I dismissals as wicketkeeper and has won eight World Cups across ODI and T20 formats.
