The possibility of giving any role to senior players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi in the upcoming T20 series against Bangladesh has been ruled out.
Pakistan selectors, including Aaqib Javed, Aleem Dar, Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq, are expected to announce the T20 squad for the series against West Indies and Bangladesh next week. Both these series will be played in July-August.

This is all part of the preparations for the Asia Cup in September (yet to be confirmed) and the ICC T20 World Cup early next year. A source close to the national selectors said the panel and Hesson want to give more opportunities to new young players in the T20 team. The idea is that if things go bad, the selectors can always pick Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen again, the source said.
