November 25, 2013, is considered a dark day in cricket history, when a bouncer took the life of Phil Hughes. Twelve years later, Ben Stokes was struck by a similar bouncer. During the Ashes series in Adelaide, Stokes was struck on the head by a 145 km/h ball from Mitchell Starc. However, Stokes remained unharmed due to new helmets and ICC regulations. After a concussion test, he was cleared to bat again.
