Gary Neville accused Cole Palmer of being ‘betrayed’ by former manager Pep Guardiola following Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.

Palmer, who has enjoyed a spell of excellent form since the summer of 2023 when he joined Chelsea from Manchester City, had a rare bad day as the Blues suffered a 3-1 defeat against the reigning Premier League champions at the Etihad Stadium. The England international contributed little to the match and went missing in the second half as City managed to secure all three points. Despite suffering a defeat in a crucial encounter, the attacker was spotted having a fun chat with ex-mentor Guardiola after the final whistle.
