Blackburn vs Ipswich Abandoned: EFL Confirms Replay
The Blackburn vs Ipswich abandoned Championship clash has been officially confirmed to be replayed in full, much to the frustration of Blackburn Rovers. The match at Ewood Park was called off in the 79th minute due to torrential rain, with Blackburn leading 1-0 against ten-man Ipswich Town. Despite being on course for victory, the EFL Board has ruled that the fixture must restart from scratch.
Why Blackburn vs Ipswich Was Abandoned
Blackburn held a late advantage thanks to Todd Cantwell’s penalty, while Ipswich had been reduced to ten players following Jacob Greaves’ dismissal.
