A medical consultation has been planned for Jarell Quansah before the young Liverpool defender completes a deal to Bayer Leverkusen.
WHAT OCCURRED?
Quansah’s medical has been set for Monday, according to Fabrizio Romano, which is another important step in the process of completing his upcoming transfer to Leverkusen. In addition to the £35 million ($48 million) cost that the 22-year-old has agreed to, the deal contains a buy-back clause that, depending on many add-ons, could be valued anywhere from £60 million ($82 million) to £70 million ($96 million).

Quansah has been with Liverpool since he was five years old, but under Arne Slot, he lost favor last season. The inclusion of a considerably higher buy-back provision shows that the club still has high aspirations for his future, even though they believe that the next phase of his growth should occur away from Anfield.
The positive relationship between the Reds and Leverkusen this summer is being maintained by this deal, as Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong have lately left the team.
