But he maintained his lead by scoring 86 runs.
With nine wickets remaining, the hosts trail India’s first innings total by only 94 runs. Australia has only lost one wicket, Usman Khawaja (13), who was caught in the slips by Jasprit Bumrah (1 wicket for 13 runs) by Captain Rohit Sharma.
At stumps, opener Nathan McSweeney was on 38 runs, while Marnus Labuschagne was on 20. Both have managed to score 62 runs for the second wicket. Earlier, Starc (six wickets for 48 runs) managed to capture five or more wickets in an innings for the first time with the pink ball, as India was innings out for 180 runs in just 44.1 overs.
