The BCCI announced the Rest of India squad for the Irani Cup. The match between Rest of India and Vidarbha will begin on October 1st in Nagpur. Rajat Patidar will captain Rest of India, with Ruturaj as vice-captain. Akshay Wadkar will lead Vidarbha. Wadkar has scored 3,906 runs in 62 first-class matches. Vidarbha will be aiming for a third Cup win after 2017-18 and 2018-19. Rest of India has won the title 29 times.
