Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has opened up about his future at Anfield as he moves near to free agency.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Van Dijk, who’s in the final months of his being contract with Liverpool, is yet to agree to subscribe a new deal and extend his stay at Anfield. Sport had before reported that in case the talismanic Dutchman becomes a free agent at the end of the 2024- 25 crusade, he could head to Barcelona, who are keen on bolstering their backline. Amid rising enterprises, the Netherlands star handed an update on his future.
WHAT VAN DIJK SAID?
The 33- time-old said” In the coming months we just have to give it our all. We’re still active on three fronts and that’s the primary thing I’ve in mind. I’ve veritably, veritably big plans in that area.
“Unfortunately I can not talk about particular exchanges I’ve with the club. We have been talking for a while and the only thing I can say now is that I love this club. I am veritably calm about the situation. As long as I am calm about it, the suckers can be too. However, you will hear about it, If there is news. For now, I really do not know where I’ll be playing coming season, but again I’m calm about it.”

Along with Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander- Arnold are also nearing free agency.
The Reds will have to initiate contract addresses in the coming couple of months to stop their stars from leaving for free. While Alexander- Arnold is linked with a move to Real Madrid, Salah could eventually complete his important- hyped move to Saudi Arabia.
