RLD MP Rajkumar Sangwan responded to Owaisi’s objections over the scheduled India-Pakistan Asia Cup match, stating that the Indian cricket team would give a befitting reply on the field, just as the armed forces do in defence of the country. Owaisi had questioned the morality of playing cricket post the Pahalgam attack. The Asia Cup is set for 9-28 September in the UAE.
