Rohit Sharma talked about his decision to retire from Test cricket on 7 May. He said that his father Gurunath Sharma was disappointed with this decision because he does not like ‘new age’ cricket. Rohit said, “My father is a big fan of red ball cricket.” He said this at the book launch of Pujara’s wife in Mumbai. There was talk of his retirement since the Australia tour.
