There may be a big change in the next season of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25. ECB President Richard Thompson met ICC President Jay Shah and discussed the need to change the current structure. It may also discuss the feasibility of four-day Tests, making three-Test series possible. However, the Ashes and other major competitions will remain five-day matches.
