West Indies’ stormy bowler Andy Roberts, who is called the ‘father of modern fast’, terrorised batsmen with his dangerous bouncers in the 1970-80s. Roberts, an important member of the West Indies team that won the World Cup in 1975 and 1979, injured Peter Tuohy with a bouncer in 1977-78. Imran Khan described his ball as the fastest and most dangerous. Roberts played 47 Tests and 56 ODIs.
