Indian batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi continued his red-hot form ahead of the U-19 World Cup, smashing a blistering 96 runs against Scotland in a warm-up match at Bulawayo. His innings included 9 fours and 7 towering sixes, once again showcasing his exceptional power-hitting ability.
This knock follows his stunning 127-run innings against South Africa in the previous warm-up game, underlining that Suryavanshi is peaking at the right time. His consistency and attacking style are quickly making him one of the most feared young batters in the tournament.
While Suryavanshi impressed, there was some concern in the Indian camp as captain Ayush Mhatre could manage only 22 runs, extending his lean run of form ahead of the main event.
India will officially begin their U-19 World Cup campaign against the USA, and Suryavanshi’s current form will be a major boost as the team eyes a strong start to the tournament.
