Paarl Royals skipper David Miller has lauded emerging South African talents Nqobani Mokoena and Keagan Lion-Cachet for their match-winning contributions against Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC), as the Royals gear up for a high-voltage Cape derby clash against MI Cape Town in SA20 Season 4.
The much-anticipated contest will take place at Boland Park on Friday night, marking the first derby of the season between the two neighbouring franchises.

Fresh off a commanding five-wicket victory over SEC at St George’s Park, Miller is relishing the challenge of facing the defending champions.
“I don’t think it gets bigger than that (facing MI Cape Town). Every game in the SA20 is huge—there’s no room for mistakes. But coming back here for a derby makes it even more special,” Miller said, as quoted in an SA20 press release.
“We’ve got them twice—the 2nd and the 4th—and hopefully we give them a good one.”

Meanwhile, MI Cape Town coach Robin Peterson has urged his side to be more mentally sharp and clinical as they hunt for their first win of the season.
“We’ve got to sharpen up mentally and improve our execution in all facets,” Peterson said.
“It’s not about pointing fingers. As a group, we need to look at ourselves and turn things around quickly.”
Despite their slow start, Peterson remains confident.
“We’ve only played two games, with seven more to go. The guys in the dressing room have won this competition before. It’s just a different journey this year.”
