The annual showdown between CJI XI, led by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, and SCBA XI was held on Wednesday, December 11, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Speaking before the match, CJI Surya Kant said,
“Every time this annual match is held, there’s a lot of excitement. Good players play with good teams.”
His presence added to the enthusiasm surrounding the event.
Apart from cricket, the Chief Justice also took part in the All-India Judges Badminton Championship, underscoring the judiciary’s growing emphasis on physical fitness.
This year’s sports activities witnessed strong participation, with nearly 75 High Court judges joining the badminton championship—reflecting a continued commitment to health, camaraderie, and sportsmanship within the judicial fraternity.
