Former Indian cricketer Atul Wassan said that the ICC should decide whether Bangladesh should participate in or opt out of the 2026 T20 World Cup. Wassan believes that the Bangladesh Cricket Board lacks the power to insist on not playing matches in India. Bangladesh wants the matches to be held in Sri Lanka due to Mustafizur’s exclusion from IPL 2026. Wassan said that security is not an issue in India.
