India’s left-arm spinner Gouher Sultana, 37, has retired from international cricket. She claimed 66 ODI wickets at 19.39, the third-best average by an Indian with 50-plus wickets, and featured in two ODI and three T20 World Cups. Announcing her decision on Instagram, she called her journey “a dream” from Hyderabad’s bylanes to the global stage and thanked teammates, mentors, and family.
Gouher, a BCCI Level 2 coach, looks forward to contributing to the sport in new ways.
